Dense ruby in appearance, almost black near the center. Intense aromas of 90% cocoa, candied raspberries, new leather, lemon peel, fresh clove, and baked strawberry. Medium-bodied on the palate, with fresh acidity, long and ripe tannins, and robust flavors of cedar chest, candied cherries, fresh garden herbs, and star anise. A pleasant finish ends in Italian espresso, red and black fruit, and coconut tones.
